This structure was built after finding a proliferation of snail shells on my site visit.There is a 2 foot thick rammed- earth spiral wall running inside. There is a stone seat in the interior and an oculus for light. This project existed for 9 months. More GUANDU SPIRA MIRABILIS, 2010 One of six artists selected for the Guandu International Outdoor Sculpture Festival. The spiral path is 47 feet long and culminates in an open courtyard with a wood and stone spiral seating element. This work was to last for 6 months.
