Vera Stanarcevic 

My  favourite   materials  are  metals / steel, brass , aluminium…/  and material found in Nature / soil, wood ,straw, branches…/

When I start  to  make  sculptures, objects and drawings ,the  main  aim  is to do something  new and  exciting for me and to use “ artist lanquage “ in best way .

I began to use material from Nature soon after graduation.
 
In my childhood I often sit alone in the field in “my village", staring in the sky, dreaming with open eyes, drawing something, looking at insects, birds, and I felt relax , calm as connect with Nature and as a part of Nature. 
And now, sometimes, while I sit in the room, I can get back in that nice feeling of relaxation and...happiness! 
This feeling of bliss is very strong when I work in Nature and use material that I find in Nature! That is why I always use the opportunity to be part of a group that "does something" in Nature - to re-emerge the feeling of bliss and happiness I had in my childhood!
When I use material from Nature , some of  these sculptures are very close to Nature  while  others  assume  a more  abstract form ,  only  being  briefly  indicate  into  the Nature .

Also ,it is inspirational to be aware and to be witnes of slow process when wind , rain and sun continue to shape artists ecological objects up to their end…

No matter if I use a variety of materials, techniques, dimensions , in my artistic work  ,the entire process is related to my essential being which sometimes openly display  and sometimes not.
Objects and sculptures I make this way are are  silent  results  of  this  mental trip.
